Landor has been appointed by MyGoodDeed.org to develop the visual identity for the September 11 National Day of Service and Remembrance, federally recognised for the first time in 2009 under new legislation signed by President Barack Obama this year.
Having just completed the visual identity for the 9/11 Memorial, Landor aims to develop a timely but sustainable visual identity that communicates a national spirit of unity, service and compassion while encouraging broad participation by individuals and organisations alike. To complement the visual identity and ensure its consistency across all points of touch, a distinctive house style will also be developed. The goal of these elements will be to recognize the severity of the events that occurred nearly eight years ago and inspire younger generations to take a part in carrying on the legacy of unification, compassion and selfless acts of kindness…
