Are we really that surprised?
Personally, if it wasn’t for the fact that I picked one up on the cheap (c/o 2:1 USD to GBPs), and tinkled for a few minutes on the web to discover how to unlock it, I very much doubt I would have bothered. I certainly wouldn’t have pitched a tent outside Carphone Warehouse, with all the other truants, to get one.
Having read so much self-opinionated commentary about them over the past five months, my decision was based on the ease of having one delivered to the office rather than a must-have necessity.
Could it be that those who questioned veteran Marketer Al Ries, in July’s Ries Report, will soon have to iChat an apology?
