Pentagram partner, Michael Bierut closed the first day of Design at Scale, and did so with mastery and aplomb. He laid out the cliches of what designers supposedly like… and then neatly shot down each one, with a series of things he actually loves.

Packed full of inspirational ideas and topics for discussion, Brand Atlas is different. This book (iBook) provides the curious and inquisitive with brainstorm ideas and delicious insight, through easy to follow visuals. I discovered Yelo via the Design You Trust blog community. Interestingly Cerium, the chap who posted the image of the reception desk, had chosen it as an image of inspiration. Subsequently, a little bit of digging around revealed an interesting wellness concept — particularly liked the strapline.
